What we source

Integrated circuits

When an IC goes end-of-life or onto allocation, a qualified design can stall for want of a few pieces. We search authorized stock first, then traceable excess, and tell you plainly where every part comes from.

Where this comes up

Programs that last decades outlive the IC product lines they were designed with. Labs need a few pieces for a breadboard, an engineering model or a failure analysis; repair stations need the exact part to keep a unit within its approved data. When authorized channels have no stock, the choice is a redesign or a careful search of traceable sources. We do the search and show you the paper trail before you buy.

What we find

  • Logic, interface and analog ICs
  • Power management and voltage references
  • Microcontrollers, processors and FPGAs
  • Memory: SRAM, flash, EEPROM
  • Hybrid microcircuits

Specifications buyers ask for

MIL-PRF-38535
integrated circuits built on a QML (Qualified Manufacturers List) line
Standard Microcircuit Drawings (5962-)
DLA drawings that define a military-grade version of a part
MIL-PRF-38534
hybrid microcircuits, classes H and K
MIL-STD-883
the test methods used to screen microcircuits

What to put in your RFQ

  • The complete part number, including temperature grade, package and screening suffixes
  • The SMD (5962-) number, if your drawing calls one out
  • Quantity, and whether partial reels or trays are fine
  • Date-code limits and required documents

ICs are the most counterfeited category

Remarked and recycled ICs are the classic counterfeit. Parts from independent sources are tested at an independent laboratory before they ship, unless you tell us in writing not to, and testing is quoted as its own line so you can see what it costs.

How we source

  1. Authorized stock first. We buy from authorized distributors wherever they hold stock.
  2. Manufacturer and OEM excess, with purchase paperwork back to an authorized source.
  3. Qualified independent sources only after they pass our questionnaire. Their parts are tested at an independent lab before they ship, unless you tell us in writing not to.

What ships with your order

  • Blue Horizon certificate of conformance, signed
  • Manufacturer and supplier paperwork back to the source
  • Manufacturer lot and date codes, plus our internal lot code
  • The test report, when parts were tested

One line per part is fine. We screen every customer and classify every part before quoting.
