What we source
Circuit protection
Protection parts are small line items that can hold up a whole board. We source the specified fuse, breaker or suppressor, including space-level versions.
Where this comes up
Space and military fuses are qualified parts made by few manufacturers, and a board can sit unfinished for want of one. Breakers in older equipment wear out and go obsolete. We search for the exact part number first and suggest an alternative only when you ask, because protection parts are rated for a reason. The same goes for the TVS diodes and suppressors that protect sensitive inputs.
What we find
- Instrument, power and space fuses
- Circuit breakers
- TVS diodes and surge suppressors
- Resettable PTC fuses
- Fuse holders and clips
Specifications buyers ask for
- MIL-PRF-23419
- instrument fuses, including space types
- MIL-PRF-15160
- instrument, power and telephone fuses
- MIL-PRF-39019
- circuit breakers
- MIL-PRF-19500
- military TVS diodes, among other semiconductor devices
What to put in your RFQ
- The full part number
- Current and voltage rating, speed and package if there is no part number
- Quantity
- Required documents
- Mounting: board, panel or holder
- Whether holders or clips are needed too
Exact ratings only
A protection part with a slightly different rating can fail to protect or trip in normal use. We quote only the part you specified and ask before suggesting an alternative. If your drawing allows alternates, name them in the RFQ.
How we source
- Authorized stock first. We buy from authorized distributors wherever they hold stock.
- Manufacturer and OEM excess, with purchase paperwork back to an authorized source.
- Qualified independent sources only after they pass our questionnaire. Their parts are tested at an independent lab before they ship, unless you tell us in writing not to.
What ships with your order
- Blue Horizon certificate of conformance, signed
- Manufacturer and supplier paperwork back to the source
- Manufacturer lot and date codes, plus our internal lot code
- The test report, when parts were tested
One line per part is fine. We screen every customer and classify every part before quoting.
