What we source
Connectors and interconnect
Connectors are among the most requested parts in aerospace labs: a test fixture or harness needs a specific shell, insert and finish, often in a quantity of one or two. We find the exact configuration, with its contacts and backshell.
Where this comes up
Labs build and rebuild test harnesses all the time, and every harness needs mating connectors, the right contacts and a backshell. A missing backshell can stop a test just as surely as a missing chip. We quote the complete set, so the connector, its contacts and its accessories arrive together.
What we find
- Circular MIL-spec connectors
- Micro-D and nano rectangular connectors
- D-subminiature connectors
- Crimp contacts
- Backshells and accessories
- Board-level and push-pull connectors
Specifications buyers ask for
- MIL-DTL-38999
- high-density circular connectors, series I to IV
- MIL-DTL-26482 and MIL-DTL-5015
- general-purpose circular connectors
- MIL-DTL-83513
- micro-D rectangular connectors
- MIL-DTL-32139
- nanominiature rectangular connectors
- MIL-DTL-24308
- D-subminiature connectors
- MIL-DTL-39029

What to put in your RFQ
- The full military or manufacturer part number
- Shell size, insert arrangement, contact type and finish
- Whether contacts are included or needed separately
- Backshell or accessories, and the quantity of each
Know who assembled it
Many connectors are assembled from shells, inserts and contacts, and only the manufacturer or an assembler it authorizes builds the genuine part. Our quote states the source of every part, which for a connector includes who assembled it.
How we source
- Authorized stock first. We buy from authorized distributors wherever they hold stock.
- Manufacturer and OEM excess, with purchase paperwork back to an authorized source.
- Qualified independent sources only after they pass our questionnaire. Their parts are tested at an independent lab before they ship, unless you tell us in writing not to.
What ships with your order
- Blue Horizon certificate of conformance, signed
- Manufacturer and supplier paperwork back to the source
- Manufacturer lot and date codes, plus our internal lot code
- The test report, when parts were tested
One line per part is fine. We screen every customer and classify every part before quoting.
