What we source
Lab accessories
Labs go through test leads, adapters and handling supplies constantly. We consolidate them into the same order as your components, so one purchase order covers the bench.
Where this comes up
Lab supplies are low-value items that cost real time to buy one at a time from separate vendors. Adding them to a component order means one quote, one purchase order and one delivery. Tell us what the bench needs, by part number or by description, and we will quote it alongside the parts. It also keeps small purchases off the purchasing desk.
What we find
- Test leads, probes and clips
- Adapters and cable assemblies
- ESD mats, wrist straps and bags
- Moisture-barrier bags, desiccant and humidity cards
- Static-dissipative work surfaces and hand tools
Specifications buyers ask for
- IEC 61010
- safety ratings (measurement categories) for test leads and probes
- ANSI/ESD S20.20
- the ESD control program standard
- MIL-PRF-81705
- static-shielding and barrier bags
- J-STD-033
- handling of moisture-sensitive devices
What to put in your RFQ
- Part numbers, or a list of what the bench needs
- Safety rating for test leads
- Quantities
- Whether the items should ship with a component order
- Any model your lab has standardized on
The same supplies protect your parts
Moisture-sensitive components are stored and shipped in barrier bags with desiccant and humidity cards, and ESD-sensitive parts are handled at an ESD-safe bench. We use the same materials ourselves.
How we source
- Authorized stock first. We buy from authorized distributors wherever they hold stock.
- Manufacturer and OEM excess, with purchase paperwork back to an authorized source.
- Qualified independent sources only after they pass our questionnaire. Their parts are tested at an independent lab before they ship, unless you tell us in writing not to.
What ships with your order
- Blue Horizon certificate of conformance, signed
- Manufacturer and supplier paperwork back to the source
- Manufacturer lot and date codes, plus our internal lot code
- The test report, when parts were tested
One line per part is fine. We screen every customer and classify every part before quoting.
