What we source
Sensors
Test stands and qualification rigs depend on sensors that are often specialized and slow to replace. We source the exact sensor, and spares for the next campaign.
Where this comes up
Sensors on test stands and qualification rigs are often specialized parts bought years ago for a single program. When one fails mid-campaign, the lab needs the identical model to keep its data consistent. We source the exact part, and can quote spares at the same time so the next failure does not stop testing. Tell us the test schedule and we will say plainly what is realistic.
What we find
- Pressure transducers and transmitters
- Temperature sensors and thermocouples
- Position and displacement sensors
- Accelerometers
- Strain gauges and load cells
Specifications buyers ask for
- RTCA DO-160
- environmental test conditions for airborne equipment, often cited for sensors on aircraft
What to put in your RFQ
- The full manufacturer part number
- Range, media, output and electrical connection if there is no part number
- Calibration certificate requirements
- Quantity and required documents
- Operating temperature range
- Cable or connector style
Ask for the calibration you need
A sensor's calibration certificate matters as much as the part. Tell us what calibration and documentation your lab requires, and the quote will say what ships with it. If a calibration has lapsed, we can ask an accredited calibration laboratory to quote recalibration as a separate line.
How we source
- Authorized stock first. We buy from authorized distributors wherever they hold stock.
- Manufacturer and OEM excess, with purchase paperwork back to an authorized source.
- Qualified independent sources only after they pass our questionnaire. Their parts are tested at an independent lab before they ship, unless you tell us in writing not to.
What ships with your order
- Blue Horizon certificate of conformance, signed
- Manufacturer and supplier paperwork back to the source
- Manufacturer lot and date codes, plus our internal lot code
- The test report, when parts were tested
One line per part is fine. We screen every customer and classify every part before quoting.
